The multiplier event organised by PIN took place on 27 September 2019 at PIN in Prato. After the institutional greetings from the major of Prato, Matteo Biffoni and of the president of PIN, Luciano Baggiani, the conference, held by Leonardo Borsacchi from the University of Florence, focused on the concept of circular economy, on how it can be both a challenge and an opportunity and on the results of the Cycle project, that have been presented and discussed, as well as the importance of the role of education and training in the transition towards a circular economic system.
The conference was held in the broader framework of the Researchers’ night, an event that took place in universities all around Europe. This synergy further underlines the importance of the constant interplay between universities, civil society and institutions for the effective implementation of a more sustainable economy.
